CAL CUP JUNE 25-27

Not quite as hot as last year, but temperatures still broke the century mark and ICE stayed cool through it all as they defeated some very tough competition this weekend to end up in the Final against San Juan Spirits.

Coach Jim says: "Pretty good weekend, not quite the end result we hoped for, but I felt the ICE did well. Great competition. We played Mustang, San Juan, Placer, and Elk Grove. Those are all top teams in our age group.
The Elk Grove game and the possibly the swimming may have taken too much out of Ice. I could tell this morning when we got to the field Ice was a bit off. The girls were way too quiet. Usually they are non stop talk. As a team Ice just couldn't run and put up little or no battle against San Juan. It was a great run through the bracket, no easy feat, 2 nail biter games where Ice came through. That was fun."
