Flash Hits the Podium in Livermore Classic
Third in a pure points tournament

The Santa Rosa United Flash U12 girls took third in the Livermore Elite Halloween Classic this past weekend. The tournament was structured as a one bracket, seven team , pure points tournament. Facing tough competition, the Flash defeated the Bay Oaks Bandits (1-0) , Fremont Storm (2-0), and Davis Legacy (1-0). Their only loss (0-1) came against the Turlock Tornados when they were awarded a controversial penalty kick.

Coach Noah Parker continues to express his pleasure with the growth and development of the team, just coming off a strong second place finish in league. The Flash continues training for Norcal Cup and is beginning preparations for State Cup beginning in January 2008.

More impressive results for the Flash

Santa Rosa United’s U12 Girls - Flash continues to post impressive league and tournament results, including: 3rd place at Elk Grove, 2nd place in Novato , 4th place at Bay Oaks, 3rd Place at the Livermore Classic, and 2nd Place in CYSA League play.

The Flash got the ball rolling in July with a 3rd place finish in the Elk Grove United Cup.  In August they reached the finals of the Novato Classic tournament (losing 1-0 in a strong effort against Heritage Storm.)  Two weeks later the girls had to settle for 4th place at the Bay Oaks Tournament.  (A 1-0 loss to the hosting Bay Oaks Bombers, state cup semi-finalists last year).  In recent league play the Flash have looked sharp in impressive 2-1 victories over Sonoma County Alliance and Central Marin and a 1-0 loss to the Shock.

Coach Noah Parker has these girls feeling (and proving) that they can compete with any team in their age group. Keep it up Flash!
