EDUCATION

  • M.A. in sport Psychology, Long Beach State University: received the "Outstanding Student in Sport Studies" award and also a graduated "With Distinction"
  • B.A. in Philosophy, Sonoma State University: graduated "With Distinction"
COACHING
  • Over 11 years of coaching experience at the club, high school, collegiate Division I and Division II levels, and semi-professional.
  • Coached players in the Olympic Development, State, Regional, and National pools.
  • Former players have gone on to Junior College, D-I, D-II, and D-III collegiate careers as well as to NAIA National Championships.
  • State Championship, Regional Quarterfinalist, numerous tournament club championships.
  • 1999 Head Girls Soccer Coach Piner High School
  • 1998 Girls Soccer Coach Ursuline High School alongside Kevin Brown to a North Coast Section and CIF Champions titles, and ranked #2 nationally.
  • 2005 Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Sonoma State University.
  • Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at D-I Long Beach State.
  • Coaching clinic instructor for the Amateur Athletic Foundation while living in southern California.
     
    Coach Salzmann is a local product.  She played at Piner High School, SRJC in 1992, SSU from 1993-1996, was a two-time All-Conference and All West-Region player as well as an All-American in 1996 when she broke the all-time leading goal-scoring record at SSU.  Salzmann competed in the Umbro All-Star Classic in Ft. Lauderdale after her senior year which pits the best players in the nation in an East vs. West All-Star game.  She was also the recipient of the "LEAD US" award which stands for Leadership, Effort, Attitude, Dedication, Unselfishness, and Skill.  Salzmann played semi-professionally from 1997-1999 for the Sacramento Storm, a women's team in the Women's Premier Soccer League. She also played in Holland in 2001 for NEC Nijmegen where an injury suffered in Holland ended her playing career. In 1998, a book entitled "The Beautiful Game" was written about her first club team, the Santa Rosa United Thunder, and their first year together in which they went on to win the State Championship.
