Cyclones are Nevada Zephyr Cup U13 Champions!
Alan Finnie’s Cyclones are starting off their tournament season with a first place win in Reno at the Nevada Zephyr Cup. On Saturday, the Cyclones defeated Elk Grove 4-0 and FC Azzuri 6-1. The Cyclones fought hard early Sunday against Placer United, losing 0-3, but came back to defeat American River Freedom 3-0 in the semi-finals. Having already played four games, the Cyclones gave everything they had in the finals defeating Pacifica United 2-1. Congratulations Cyclones!
Shock Win San Francisco Cup!
Santa Rosa United Shock, playing up an age group, took home the championship this past Memorial Day weekend at the 2010 San Francisco Cup. Coach Paul Dixon and the girls beat CYSA U15 State Cup Semi-Finalist Palo Alto in the semi's 2-1. Then went on to shutout ACC Mavericks 2-0 in the Championship game. Congratulations Shock on an impressive start to the new season.
U15 Girls Avalanche - Northern California Spring Showcase Champs!
The SRU United Avalanche exhibited perseverence and team play in winning the championship of the Juventus Sporting Club, NorCal Spring Showcase that was held at Skyline College in San Bruno over the weekend of March 6/7, 2010. 
Congratulations to the ICE - U11 NorCal State Cup Champions
Congratulations to Santa Rosa United U11 Ice who beat Tracy Crush, 3-1, on Sunday at Morgan Hill to win the girls U11 California Youth Soccer Association NorCal State Cup title. Ice got goals from Hailey DeAngelo, Juliana Rossini and Dani Gilson in the championship game. Aimee Holland anchored the midfield and Melanie Mathewson was named the defensive player of the game by Ice head coach Jim Strong.
Ice finished the season with a 41-9-2 overall record.

Cyclones win first place in Stanford Winter Turf Tournament held January 9-10th in Palo Alto.

Shock - Finalist at Surf Cup!
Shock swept through bracket play without giving up a goal to Surf Blue (CAS), Black Diamond (UT), or TVSA (CAS). The quarter finals were determined by penalty kicks (4-3) against Washington Premier after a day of rain washed out the fields. In the Semi-Finals, Shock faced Marin FC and took it 2-1 in the first "golden goal" overtime period. The Final was played at the polo fields in Del Mar where Shock faced the host Surf White team, currently ranked #2 in the nation. Shock battled for the full 70 minutes but just came up short, falling 2-1 to Surf. Congratulations to Coach Paul Dixon and Shock for a tremendous showing in SoCal.
Blizzard - 2009 Battle By the Bay U13 Girls Champions.
Santa Rosa United Blizzard U13 Girls Gold took 1st place at the Battle By The Bay this past weekend going undefeated. The Blizzard defense did not allow a single goal to be scored on them the entire tournament. In the Semi-finals against the MVLA Blue, the girls controlled the ball well and executed strongly to maintain possession a majority of the game. In the Championship match, the Blizzard picked up where they left off with a great display of exceptional passing skills, excellent footwork and team communication. Final score; Blizzard 4, Mill Valley Rockers 0.
Riptide Champs!
The Riptide (U9 girls) were the champs at the Boofest Oct. 23/24 at Granite Park in Sacramento!
The girls went undefeated -- with a tie and three wins. They came from behind in the Championship game against El Dorado United to win 3-1.
ICE 99 wins the Magic Cup Tournament!
U-10 Tremors Wins Mustang Stampede Tournament!
The U-10 Tremors won the Gold Division Championship at the Mustang Stampede Tournament. It was a great tournament for the Tremors with some great offense, defense, goalkeeping, passing, shots and overall team play. The Tremors scored 23 goals while giving up 3 and going 6-0 during the tournament. Congratulations to the U-10 TREMORS.

Avalanche US Club Regional Champions - U14 Super Group
SRU Avalanche won the US Club Regional Championship - U14 Super Group in Modesto June 23rd. Avalanche faced tough competition in the four day tournament, but they walked away undefeated. The semi final had the Avalanche (SRU) up against the Avalanche (UT) that ended in a score of 2-1. The final game was against a very strong Lamorinda team that went into overtime and ended in a 2-1 victory for Avalanche

Shock wins San Francisco Cup
SRU Shock takes home the hardware on Memorial Day in San Francisco. Coach Paul Dixon and the girls, in their first tournament together, swept through the weekend undefeated to take home the Championship. Shock was victorious over California Northstars 2-0, MVLA 3-1, Mission SFC 4-0, then SASC Roadrunner Chivas 1-0 in the Championship!
