The Earthquakes won their second straight tournament this year. Behind inspired goaltending, a terrific defense, and balanced scoring the girls went 4-0-1 for the weekend and topped it off with a 1-0 win over Juventus on a hot Sunday afternoon. Congratulations Earthquakes!

The Earthquakes defeated El Dorado Sol in the final game to win the championship.

The U9 Aftershocks "shocked" the opposition by winning the Norcal State Cup Finals in the U9 Gold Division.  Conceding only one girls the never say die team pressed on with every team member giving 100% to the winning formula.  The team were a credit to the hard work of Rachel and Patti.

The SRU Tremors, coached by Martin Perez, continue their tremendous success in 2010 by being crowned 2010 Elite 8 Champions.  They started the tournament by beating a strong Jr. Pumas team 3-0 and then defeating NBFC Barcelona 4-0 on Saturday.  On Sunday, when playing well matters most, they started the day by beating their nemesis, and winner of the previous Nor Cal State Cup, Elk Grove Everton, by a score of 2-0. 

The 3 wins earned them the opportunity to play against nationally ranked MFC Newcastle, which had given them up to that point their only loss of the 2010 season in 8 vs. 8 competitions in the Semifinals of the prestigious 2010 Mustang Stamped, winning the affair 3-2 to win the Championship.

With the win the team has won an impressive 4 out 5 tournaments in which it has played in 8 vs 8 competition (U11 age group) with a near miss on the 5^th one where they lost in the Semi’s  to the eventual champions 1-0 on a hard fought battle.

The Earthquake girls had a strong weekend in defeating all of their opponents to take the Davis Legacy Super Clasico Championship. Congrats to the girls and coach for the tremendous effort!

Without losing any of their 5 games and conceding only 1 goal during the tournament, Frost beats Mustang to win the Novato Classic.

Alan Finnie’s Cyclones are starting off their tournament season with a first place win in Reno at the Nevada Zephyr Cup. On Saturday, the Cyclones defeated Elk Grove 4-0 and FC Azzuri 6-1. The Cyclones fought hard early Sunday against Placer United, losing 0-3, but came back to defeat American River Freedom 3-0 in the semi-finals. Having already played four games, the Cyclones gave everything they had in the finals defeating Pacifica United 2-1. Congratulations Cyclones!

Santa Rosa United Shock, playing up an age group, took home the championship this past Memorial Day weekend at the 2010 San Francisco Cup. Coach Paul Dixon and the girls beat CYSA U15 State Cup Semi-Finalist Palo Alto in the semi's 2-1. Then went on to shutout ACC Mavericks 2-0 in the Championship game. Congratulations Shock on an impressive start to the new season.

The SRU United Avalanche exhibited perseverence and team play in winning the championship of the Juventus Sporting Club, NorCal Spring Showcase that was held at Skyline College in San Bruno over the weekend of March 6/7, 2010.

Shock swept through bracket play without giving up a goal to Surf Blue (CAS), Black Diamond (UT), or TVSA (CAS). The quarter finals were determined by penalty kicks (4-3) against Washington Premier after a day of rain washed out the fields. In the Semi-Finals, Shock faced Marin FC and took it 2-1 in the first "golden goal" overtime period. The Final was played at the polo fields in Del Mar where Shock faced the host Surf White team, currently ranked #2 in the nation. Shock battled for the full 70 minutes but just came up short, falling  2-1 to Surf. Congratulations to Coach Paul Dixon and Shock for a tremendous showing in SoCal.

The girls went undefeated -- with a tie and three wins.  They came from behind in the Championship game against El Dorado United to win 3-1.

Santa Rosa United Blizzard U13 Girls Gold took 1^st place at the Battle By The Bay this past weekend going undefeated.  The Blizzard defense did not allow a single goal to be scored on them the entire tournament.   In the Semi-finals against the MVLA Blue, the girls controlled the ball well and executed strongly to maintain possession a majority of the game.  In the Championship match, the Blizzard picked up where they left off with a great display of exceptional passing skills, excellent footwork and team communication.  Final score; Blizzard 4, Mill Valley Rockers 0.

The U-10 Tremors won the Gold Division Championship at the Mustang Stampede Tournament. It was a great tournament for the Tremors with some great offense, defense, goalkeeping, passing, shots and overall team play. The Tremors scored 23 goals while giving up 3 and going 6-0 during the tournament. Congratulations to the U-10 TREMORS.
