SRU College Players News


Freshman JJ McFarlin (SRHS, SRU Thunder)  scored her first collegiate and game-winning goal with 11 seconds left in regulation, giving Sonoma State the 1-0 Senior Day victory over Humboldt State on a rain-soaked Sunday afternoon at Trione Fields in Santa Rosa.
Evan Chambers (CN, SRU)  has played in 18 games registering 2 assists this season so far for UC Santa Cruz who are currently 13-5-2.
Bre Taylor (Montgomery, SRU Tsunami) has played in 12 games for the Humboldt Lumberjacks this season as a sophmore.
Both Patick Sigler (CNHS, SRU) and Cortland Forsyth (Carrillo HS, SRU Cosmos) play for Cal Poly Mustangs. Siglar has started in 13 matches this season and registered 1 goal while Cortland has played in 12 matches and has 1 assist.
Ethan Shawlee (MontgomeryHS, SRU) a sophmore (redshirt fr) starting in 7 and playing in 11 games for UC Davis has 1 goal.
Amanda Mendenhall (RVCS, SRU Freeze) has started in 15 of 16 games and has both a goal and assist this season for Oregon's Corbin University.
Sarah Peters (PetalumaHS, SRU Hurricanes) has started in all St Mary's Gaels games and posted 5 shutouts so far this season.
