New to St Mary’s women soccer this year is former SRU coach Kai Edwards. Last October 18th, St Mary’s beat visiting University of San Diego on the following goal:
“The game-winning goal for Saint Mary's (9-6-0/1-1-0 WCC) came in the 75th minute, when Daelyn Paul played a perfect through ball to Tognetti, who one-timed a low shot past the charging San Diego goalkeeper, Courtney Parsons, from 16 yards out.”
Christina Tognetti (SRU 91-Tsunami) alum actually played with Courtney Parsons (SRU 90-Freeze) on Ursuline’s team for years. USD’s roster also includes Addie Carton (SRU 89-Hurricanes) and back-up keep, Alex Dinan (SRU 90-Blizzard.
