2011 - WDA'S Most Successful Season Yet, Comes To An End

On Saturday, Winter Development Academy 2011 came to an end. Throughout the Academy, players were put through their paces learning foot-skills, 1v1 skills,  moves, turns and shooting. The players were a great credit to the soccer community, their attitude was excellent,  the coaches loved working with them and they all had fun! This years WDA saw over 300 kids participate, not only in the WDA but also the WDA Premier, a program designed for older more skilled players. Each week in the WDA Premier program, college and high school coaches (including SSU’s Luke Oberkirch and Montgomery’s Pat McDonald) implemented age specific drills and exercises for the kids to go through. These exercises were highly challenging but also fun and enjoyable.

Registration for the 2012 WDA will begin in August 2011 keep an eye on the website for more information.
